How Can I Help?

Little Paws Rat Rescue is a private rescue and all expenses come out of my pocket. We can always use help with care and supplies when it comes to the rats. However, please understand that we are not a non-profit, 501c3 rescue, and as such, any donation is not tax-deductible.

Donate

Little Paws Rat Rescue does not accept monetary donations at this time.

However, we are always in need of supplies to help us provide care to animals under our care. Our wishlist includes:

-Aspen shavings

-Paper based bedding

-Rat Lab Blocks: Mazuri, Oxbow, or Science Selective

-Treats: Oxbow products, baby food, baby rice puffs, baby rice cereal

-Items to make our own feed mix: rolled oats, puffed wheat cereal, puffed rice cereal, Total cereal, unsweetened dried fruits (cranberries or bananas), dry vegetable spiral pasta, sunflower seeds (meant for birds)

-Hammocks

-Water bottles

-Toys and enrichment items

Foster Homes

The more foster homes we have the more rats we can help. Opening your home up to a rat in needs means we have a place to put a needy rat.

Fostering is FREE. You are not responsible for food, supplies or veterinary care for any fosters you take on. However, you are responsible for all other aspects of their care (socializing, cleaning, etc.).

Volunteer

We are always looking for fellow rat lovers willing to help. Some things we could use help with include:

  • Updating and maintaining social media pages

  • Sewing hammocks (Fabric provided!)

  • Playing with and socializing rats

  • And more! Interested in helping in a different way not listed, please contact us!
